How it works

The system consists of a network of dry pipes and open nozzles, all connected to a water supply. The supply is controlled either by a single on-off valve, or a pressure regulated deluge valve. Systems are delivered complete with everything needed for operation, maintenance and testing processes, and are readily customized to suit the needs of the specific installation. Customizations include having the deluge piping in inside the cabinet or on an open frame, and a choice of pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical signals for the release mechanism.

Wilsafe Systems can also be delivered pre-tested for full flow performance if needed.

Compliance and Suitability

Each system is available customized to suit specific compliance needs for any applicable rules, regulations and project specific requirements. Compliance with all standards including E, FM, UL, ASME, DIN, DNV, BV, NMD, IMO, NFPA and Norsok are possible. Wilsafe Systems also provide complete documentation for any customized system, including certification, third party verifications such as DNV/GL, BV, ABS, etc., and full-scale test reports.

Foam Solutions

Foam can be provided by an external tank located outside or inside the skid, or through a central foam system, depending on the project needs. Foam can be mixed with several additives including:

• Turbine foam proportioner
• Balanced pressure foam proportioner
• Foam inductor
• Constant flow orifice

Nozzle Capability

The system can be supplied with deluge skid nozzles in either medium or high velocity as well as open sprinkler head designs.
